Cheers for the Big Switch-On as Cllr Bernice Hayes, Mayor of Hebden Bridge, illuminates this year’s newly famous Christmas Tree, during Thursday’s Light up the Valley event in a packed St George’s Square.  

 Santa and his elves delighted the children in the grotto, while performers in the Square and in the Town Hall courtyard included Hebden Bridge Junior Band, BLAST Furness, Riverside School Choir, The Battle of the Elves, Halo Glow Show and the Frozen Princesses. 

Thanks to Hebden Royd Town Council, Hebden Royd Business Forum, Benchmark Travel, Lambert Printers and Lumalite, for making it a free event, supported by many hours of hands-on support by members of the Rotary Club of Hebden Bridge.
