Supporting Humanitarian Aid to Ukraine.
With a grant of £1,500, we are backing Huddersfield to Ukraine, an NGO dedicated to delivering crucial humanitarian aid to the people of Ukraine. Tireless organiser Tim Marsden, with his wife and a small group of dedicated volunteers have already delivered more than 200 tons of aid and the next container load is due to leave soon.
Ukraine’s winter is no joke. Power outages are already widespread—even in Kyiv, the capital. But Huddersfield to Ukraine isn’t backing down. They’re gearing up for a winter run, determined to provide essential aid where it’s needed most.
🧣 What’s in the Aid Package?: The aid package covers a wide range:
Warm Clothing: Coats, hats, and gloves for internal refugees.
Nutrition: Dried food, long-lasting supplies, and baby milk.
Health Essentials: Blood pressure monitors, hospital sheets, and towels.
Light and warmth in the Darkness: A whopping 4 tons of wax for trench candles.
Healthcare: Medications, medical appliances, and more.
Comfort and Healing: Arts and crafts items, musical instruments, and pyjamas for children’s rehabilitation centres.
Hygiene and Dignity: Sanitary towels, incontinence products, and nappies.
Emergency Shelter: Tents and winter sleeping bags.
🙌 Never Failing to Deliver: Huddersfield to Ukraine has a stellar track record. Every shipment has made it through. Their commitment is unwavering. Facing recent border disruptions, they’re taking a bold step: purchasing a 40-foot trailer in the UK and driving it straight into Ukraine. After delivering aid, they’ll donate the trailer to a local humanitarian organization.
Let’s applaud their resilience and compassion! If you want to be part of this incredible effort, stay tuned for updates at https://www.facebook.com/HuddersfieldToUkraineHumanitarianAid.
