A £500 contribution from Hebden Bridge Rotary Club towards security and first aid at Happy Valley Pride’s BIG DAY OUT, ensuring a safe and fun day for all!

Happy Valley Pride Festival’s Big Day Out 2024 is happening on July 27th on Calder Holmes Park!  Last year’s Happy Valley Pride Festival attracted more than 6,500 visitors and won  them FIRST PRIZE in the Arts and Culture category at the Calderdale Community Spirit Awards event!

This family-friendly, inclusive event will feature performances from 20 local and national artists, with mental health-focused hosting by Rikki Beadle Blair, and a park decorated to create a mini Glastonbury vibe.  The goal is to promote equality and diversity in the Upper Calder Valley and Calderdale, raising awareness and eliminating discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity.

Their funding helps ensure robust infrastructure at the Big Day Out, keeping health and safety our priority. The Rotary Club of Hebden Bridge is a valuable resource for the whole community, supporting small charitable and non-profit groups. Their annual family-friendly fundraisers provide entertainment to thousands while helping community groups in the valley produce their own events and initiatives.
